At a very early age, the Lord called Alexander to be a missionary. He has served as a port chaplain with SCFS since 2011 and works in the ports of Terneuzen and Ghent. He does not do this alone, and his wife also helps him along with other Christian friends who love seafarers and the gospel.
The Port of Ghent is part of the North Sea Port, along with Terneuzen in the Netherlands. It is the third busiest seaport in Belgium, located in Ghent, East Flanders in the Flemish Region. The first port of Ghent was situated on the river Scheldt and later at the Leie.
