Jaeguen-dublin

Port Chaplain: Rev Jaeguen Bae

Jae was born in South Korea. It has been his honour and privilege to serve in this ministry to seafarers. Ships visit Dublin port regularly and this provides a wonderful opportunity for him to fulfil his desire to help Christ’s church to grow on the oceans and to see seafarers’ fellowship strengthened.

A vital part of Jae’s role is to provide social help to the seafarers he meets. However his ultimate goal is to lead them to Jesus Christ by sharing God’s love and grace. Jae has started weekly Bible studies on board different ships and encourages seafarers to build a ‘church at sea’ through their shared fellowship.
