Eckart has been serving as a full-time DMG port chaplain, and is affliated with SCFS, in the port of Bremerhaven since 2005.
From the very beginning it has been the goal to help seafarers spiritually, but also practically in their daily lives – sharing the love of God in word and deed.
Eckart comes in contact with many seafarers from different backgrounds, religions and nationalities. Therefore great sensitivity is required and needed. He loves to share his heart and biblical truth with the seafarers. If they show interest and their schedule permits it, Eckart and his wife Nadine love to invite them for fellowship in their home.
