Port Chaplain: Pastor Abraham Candiasan

Abraham Candiasan is pastor of Galilean Redeemer Baptist Church in Bacolod City and port missionary with SCFS Philippines for almost 22 years.

He was called by God to do mission work in 1997 while working on ships for almost 20 years. Abraham knew John Barnard, a former SCFS port missionary in the UK, who encouraged him to start mission work with seafarers.

Abraham was commissioned by SCFS in 2000 and started visiting ships the same year together with 5 of his church members who were working as seafarers.
