Yesterday, July 2, John and I had the opportunity to visit the crew aboard the Discovery Princess. Thank you for praying! During our visit, we were able to give away three full Bibles and two New Testaments, all in English.
One conversation that especially encouraged me was with Rechelle, who recently began her first contract on the ship. She shared how much she treasures the Tagalog Bible her grandmother gave her and said that one day she hopes to serve with a ministry like SCFS, ministering to cruise ship crews around the world.

Another memorable conversation was with a Hindu crew member who asked thoughtful questions about why Christians eat meat and how that relates to God's compassion for His creation. I didn't feel like I had all the right answers, but I'm thankful for the opportunity to listen and engage. Please pray that he would continue asking questions, that the Holy Spirit would be at work in his heart, and that we would have wisdom and grace if we're given the opportunity to speak with him again.

From today, July 3rd

Great day aboard the Serenade of the Seas! We gave out all the whole Bibles we brought and all of the Tagalog New Testaments plus almost all of the Christian books we brought. But for me the best part was getting to pray with and encourage Chinky the fellowship leader, as well as sharing the gospel briefly with Sid, a Hindu man who has just started his first ship contract and is newly married. Please pray for him as he is very homesick. Also, pray he will change his mind and ask his friend for the extra Book of John he has. My mom, Wanda, and John had the opportunity to talk with a man from Morocco who took tracts and a New Testament in Arabic. His name is Abdul and he seems to be seeking. He's pictured next to my mom holding the calendar. Shaik is another man from India who is interested and took a John's Gospel. Please pray that he will read some and come back to have Jesus talks with us!! We got to encourage many Christian brothers and sisters in Christ and be so encouraged by them! Thank you for your prayers. God is using all of us to bring in His beautiful harvest. Thanks!!
