Rio shares his testimony with Mike, SCFS Montrose port chaplain...

"I came to know Jesus Christ through a friend who invited me to a youth gathering in college. As I was the only believer in Christ in my family... I became burdened and lost my way, but since God is true to His promises, He didn’t allow me to be totally lost.

Time after time it was as if I was drowning... I was coming up... surviving... sinking... reviving and so on, until I realised, I didn’t have the best of life. Now because of God through His son Jesus Christ... I keep moving forward... knowing Christ and living His way...

Yes, I still fall lots of times, but God is good to rescue me... Before I was the same as the crowd, who Jesus told in His sermon (in John 6:25-40), that they were only there because of the bread.... just like us as we only come to God because we want to be blessed, and we forget that everything is from God and Jesus is the Bread of Life....

As I came to know Jesus more, He brought me to a good professional position to be effective in His work... but still during those days I was procrastinating about sharing His Good News and didn’t know how to start... on and on ... I had so many excuses!

God crushed me through trials and difficulties to learn it the hard way... until one day you came, and the Spirit of the Lord showed me the way... and you witnessed... even though you have shared it with me before during my last visit in February, but this time God had His way and gave me the calling again...

This challenged me - you and  Falk gave me the urgency to start and be guided by the Holy Spirit.  Since then, I have had the courage to start... and here we are now... your missionary effort works!

Praise be to God Almighty through His Son Jesus Christ and by the guidance of the Holy spirit that His plan is moving forward....To God be the Glory!"
