The Cork Port Authority has granted SCFS the use of a building in Cobh, adjacent to the berth where the majority of Cruise ships dock. The Seafarer's Centre is located actually on the platform of the Railway Station less than 200 mtrs from the ship's berth. The crews of the ships are contacted prior to docking and given information regarding the services provided by SCFS at the Centre.  Many of the crew members both male and female now visit the Centre to make use of the free wifi, purchase some light refreshments and play some games.  There is a table tennis table, darts and a PlayStation for their amusement.  A wide selection of Christian books, Bibles and other literature is also available in various languages.
