"We are feeling very cold," said the Turkish Captain, "Our heating system is broken, please can you get us some fan heaters?" This question was put to a new member of the Limerick team, who had not yet completed his training but he was a qualified electrician with contacts in the wholesale electrical business!!  Within a matter of a few hours, he had arranged for the purchase of 15 fan heaters, collected them from the store and delivered them to a very grateful Captain and crew!!  Now that is what you call going the extra mile!!  And yes, it was very cold on that ship!! The Captain paid in full for the heaters.
