At the heart of SCFS is the mission of "Bridging seafarers and their families to Jesus and His Church." During this quarter, we furthered our work by establishing partnerships with organizations and churches while pursuing opportunities to collaborate with additional manning agencies, expanding our reach among seafarers and their families.
Our Values Formation program at West Bay College officially commenced in April in partnership with Without Walls Ministry, whose facilitators lead each session. Since its launch, eight to nine sessions have been conducted, reaching approximately 30-40 Maritime students overall. Attendance has averaged around 14-20 students per session. Each gathering includes small- group discussions and prayer, allowing students to openly share their concerns and receive biblical encouragement.
Hermie also visited one of the sessions, attended by around 30 students, where she introduced SCFS and shared about our ministry to students.
Recognising the growing concern over mental health challenges among both young people and seafarers, including the increasing incidence of depression and suicidal ideation. We began the series by addressing the topic of depression from a biblical perspective. As these students prepare for life at sea, they are reminded of the realities they may one day encounter and are encouraged to anchor their lives in God's Word. Our prayer is that they will find lasting hope in Christ and remain grounded in Him as they begin their future careers.
Through the opportunity graciously extended by Ms. Arianne Rocha, our partnership with SEAFAM officially commenced in June.
The inaugural Values Formation session was attended by approximately 30-40 wives and children of seafarers. The session was followed by small-group sharing and reflection, providing an encouraging environment where participants can share their experiences and burdens.
We look forward to continuing this ministry and strengthening our partnership with SEAFAM in the months ahead.
Seafarers continue to visit the SCFS Center seeking prayer, biblical counsel, encouragement, and assistance as they navigate challenges both at work and at home. We are thankful that many of them view SCFS not merely as a center they can visit, but as a family that genuinely cares for them.
Since May 21, approximately 150 copies of Martin's books have been distributed to seafarers attending training at PNTC. One encouraging testimony came from two seafarers who later visited the SCFS office to request additional copies so they could share them with fellow seafarers.

SCFS Center Visits

PNTC Book Distribution

Our Luneta Park Ministry continues as an ongoing outreach to seafarers. During these visits, books and gospel flyers are distributed, conversations are initiated, and prayers are offered to those we meet.
The ministry flyer has also been updated to better communicate the work and services of SCFS.
We thank the Lord for the churches and organizations that continue to partner with us in ministering to seafarers and their families.
Current Partners

Upcoming Partnerships
We are excited to introduce the new SCFS bookmark, a simple ministry resource that will be distributed to seafarers together with our books and other materials.
We are deeply grateful to those who continue to provide books for distribution. At the same time, we continue to pray for the provision of more Bibles so that God's Word may reach even more seafarers.
Please join us in praying for the work that lies ahead, particularly our ongoing Values Formation programs and the new partnerships the Lord is opening.
