On Saturday 16 May, I had the privilege of leading the first worship service on board Le Bellot. The service came about after meeting four Christian crew members a few days earlier. As I chatted with them, they asked whether a service could be arranged.
This was a significant first for the ship. With a number of officers and passengers being French, opportunities for organised worship are not usually provided. Despite this, the response was encouraging.
More than twelve people attended, and we were given an hour together in the ship’s small theatre. It was a meaningful time of worship and fellowship, and a reminder of how God creates opportunities even in settings where it is not always expected.
